raise your hand if you fucking love football (soccer)

it makes sense, its wayne coyne and the flaming lips. via Pitchfork:
”
This is it, shroomers: your technicolor, unicorn-in-space prayers have been answered. There’s a new indie movie called Know Your Mushrooms featuring soundtrack contributions by none other than the Flaming Lips. Artistic pairings do not get much more perfect than this.
I mean, what could be more apropos? A film about chaw scored by Kid Rock? A piercing look into the history of perms featuring original pieces from Nickelback? Maybe. But the Flaming Lips/mushrooms connection is very real and very now. Directed by Grass documentarian Ron Mann and featuring shroom-head Larry Evans aka “the Indiana Jones of Mushrooms,” the film “opens the doors to perception, takes the audience on a longer, stranger trip and delivers them to a brave new world where the fungi might well guide humanity to a saner, safer place… with extra cheese…” according to its website.”

and something cool:

haha this makes too much sense…
The World’s First 3-D porno flick according to wiredblog..
“Stephen Shiu Jr., chairman of One Dollar Production, says 3D Sex and Zen will push the envelope content-wise while helping thwart piracy.
“Just imagine that you’ll be watching it as if you were sitting beside the bed,” he told the South China Morning Post. “There will be many close-ups. It will look as if the actresses are only a few centimeters from the audience.”
The porn move is only natural as filmmakers like DreamWorks Animation’s Jeffrey Katzenberg hail new 3-D technology as Hollywood’s savior. DreamWorks is producing all its upcoming animated movies in 3-D, starting with Monsters vs. Aliens, which is set for a March 27 release.
3D Sex and Zen, with a reported budget of $3.9 million, is a sequel to 1991’s Sex and Zen, which was based loosely on 17th-century Chinese book The Carnal Prayer Mat by Li Yu.”
New The Killer’s video for “Spaceman”
Sometimes I think Terry Richardson sucks, sometimes his pictures are just good pictures, whether he has talent or whatever is up to you I guess… Part 1
and Shepard Fairey, former graffitti scrawler turned capitalist/pop artist (kids will do that to ya!) interview about his Barack Obama campaign poster -- he even wears a Ramones tee in the video..
Whats new in the SNEAKER world you ask??
Totally wonky Dr. Martens “Primary Pascal 8 Eye Boot Collection” – who knows if i’d ever wear these but i like the color scheme a lot, as if you’re wearing the shoes that belong on some kids toy.

Now, the last two-three releases by Supra have been “meh” to me, but these are OFFICIAL – the Terry Kennedy x Supra Sneaker = TK Model

Pierre Hardy – Double Ring Sneaker: these are ill, can’t wear em in the rain for obvious reason but they are plain in just the right way

Gourmet 2009 Footwear Preview – I dunno much about this brand except that they are in a process of transforming to higher-end models of shoes from a sneaker beginning, kinda like yours truly. so, with that, here’s the preview – i see some choice kicks in that line up.

and finally…
Converse x Undefeated – “Poorman’s Weapon”: I find these to be really really fresh, maybe the best in this whole post because we all know Converse and it takes some real good thinking and designing to come up with a better looking converse that still remains true to the original style:

def might cop those…
AS FOR STREETWEAR/CLOTHES/NON-SNEAKER LOOKS -Finnish label “CTRL” has released their 2009 Spring/Summer Lookbook, here are some pieces I find most appealing:
